I started the next painting. It’s from a photo I took of a weird gourd. I loved the shapes.
This is the original photo. I shot it at night, with a flashlight for the light source.
I managed to get the first layer of paint onto the canvas. Now for the next layer…
The original photograph, and the painting. I just liked the weird shapes of the gourd. I took lots of photographs. I got three of them from the grocery store.
I did another layer on the background paint. One or two more to go before it looks the way I want it to. I made the shadows on the gourd darker too. I like it so far.
